Hello friends,

We are celebrating our girl today in lots of ways, but one of the ways we are honoring her birthday is by launching a new blog where I hope to start writing more consistently.  Its hard to put into words what has taken me so long to write in this season or why it has been hard to update here, but I think at the heart of it all is just the difficulty in linking life with Jubilee to life after Jubilee... starting a new chapter felt easier to do in a new space.   I won't be leaving this part of my story behind- just packing my bags and bringing the best parts of them with me on the next portion of the journey. =)

I hope you will join me there as I try and knock the dust off the keys and venture into writing consistently again.  I am planning on bringing much of the content from here over to my new space- bringing Eden and Jubilee's stories along with me, so you can find me and my girls all there in the near future. =)

So much love to each of you as I close one chapter and open another.  Thank you for walking this road with me- you have been an enormous part of the rescue, and I am forever grateful for your friendship along this trail.

Now onward to shout for joy and give thanks in this place!

Hello friends,

It has been a while, hasn't it?  We are coming up on Jubilee's fifth birthday tomorrow, and we have some plans to celebrate our girl.  We love going to the garden shop and letting the kids pick out a new decoration for the "Jubilee garden" in our backyard, and we will be whipping up a strawberry shortcake birthday cake for her from scratch this year.  The kids are excited to get in on the baking and I'm excited to get in on the eating. =)
