Good Morning, Opie

Opie's life around here is tough.

[Yawn] Wake up from a snoozer. [Yawn]

[Yawn] Stretch. [Yawn]

Run a few laps around the living room.

Gnaw on a bone.

Do something naughty.

Hey. Don't eat Mom's popcicle. She needs that. And those Oreos over there. And probably that cup of yogurt too. Come to think of it, get Mom a bowl of Lucky Charms, would ya?

Hurry and hide before Dad can find you.

Hold position...

Steady...

And when the coast is clear...

Repeat.

Bugs took a hot bath. A really hot bath.

I'd like to first say that Bugs bit the dust last night. He went from Tupperware to the Crock Pot and was filling the house with the aroma of my childhood slow-cooked when I walked in the door last night. What that sneaky hubs will do when he is at home with the dog and free from supervision. It scares me to think what will happen when I'm gone and there are three men in this house. Havemercy. If he starts cooking my Gummi Bears up for dinner, there will be words.

Today was a semi/mediocre/kinda productive day. I say that because there were three bouts of productivity between elongated bouts of napping, catching up on the lame-O Bachelor, and blogging. The three bouts resulted in the following:

1)A clean and organized pantry. This was a little scary. The Hubs lived here for 3 years as a bachelor with various roommates before I moved in when we got married, and I found a package of Ramen Noodles that expired in what looked like another decade. Just lucky that's all I found in addition to some Sour Patch Kids I had forgotten about that were a little more than crusty.

2) A call to the doc to request him as my son's pediatrician. I thought I'd have to file some paper work or haul my cookies all the way to his office and talk with him. But the sweet lady on the phone said all I have to do is write his name down since the fam are already patients at the office. Who knew! Bought be a whole extra hour to catch up on Facebook today.

3) A clean and organized junk drawer. I have never seen so many batteries.

That's it. With the exception of a few loads of laundry (plus or minus 10).

So tonight we have big plans to really send Friday out with a bang. Hamburger stroganoff and Band of Brothers with the possibility of some Season 9 Scrubs mixed in for good measure. Ah, I love a good Friday night after a painstakingly long day of hard work. Mmm...

The Week In Review

Monday:
I worked for half a day and took the little girls I watch to the library. There I discovered the joy of potty training. I had no one to blame but myself when things went awry because for crying out loud why wasn't I watching for that face?!? I should have seen it coming. Rats. 20 minutes and a plastic bag later, we were good to go. Nothing a little trip to the candy store couldn't soothe. For all three of us. I'm lying. We didn't go to the candy store. But boy, did I want to.

Tuesday:

Nannied for a sweet little boy that is about 20 pounds heavier than what I am capable of comfortably lifting up to a changing table. Nannying is a rough go for the pregnant lady. We played with Mr. Potato head to ease the pain. There may or may not have been some Sesame Street involved as well.

Wednesday:

Noteworthy event A) Nannied for the little guy again. The theme of the day was scribble with crayons and a little game I like to call "Let me throw this ball and see how many times this 20 month old will run to go get it." He lasted for 30 minutes. THIRTY MINUTES. Sweet goodness, I don't know what I'm going to do when I have a little man running around who has the energy to chase a ball around the house for a solid thirty minutes. Good practice, I suppose.

Noteworthy event B) After nannying, hit up BK for the dreaded exploding fry/nasty burger extravaganza. Before discovering the hap-hazard condition of my meal, however, the hubs and I had to wait a while in the drive-thru line. Where this duck taunted him. Hard core taunting. The Hubs broke out into a sweat just thinking about how much he'd like to have crammed Daffy into the backseat and given him a proper home next to Bugs in the Tupperware. HA. I laughed. Because burgers and fries are so much better than ducks and just look at how smug that guy is.

Noteworthy event C) After gagging down the nastiest fast food experience known to date, we headed out to childbirth class. Where the Hubs had too much fun. Now presenting, class clown and the father of my children. If I hadn't spent the last 6 years enjoying watching how great he is with living breathing children, I would be worried. The fact is, if we ever have daughters, they are going to have to stash their dolls in the closet.

Thursday:

I nannied again for the girls and took them on an ambitious trip to the mall. Seven dollars and fifty cents worth of Chinese food and four hours of walking later, we all looked at each other like we were going to drop right there in the middle of the mall. Gymboree and BabyGap and the Bacon & Eggs kids play area took a lot out of us. I slept like a rock that night.

Friday:

Big accomplishments. Big plans. See my next post for more details. =) Below is the view I have as I write this. So happy the hubs continues to shed the pounds as I pick them up off the floor under him and slap them onto my waistline. It really is my pleasure to eat his share of dessert tonight. (*Please note the orange hat. Always a hunter, folks. Always a hunter.)

Grubs

Tonight we swung by Burger King to grab a nutritionally balanced meal before our childbirth class. I wish I could say I thoroughly enjoyed my burger and fries, but I can't. Because I didn't.

As we drove off (me behind the wheel), I snatched a fry out of the bag and bit into it. OH. MY. GROSS. As I chomped down on one end of the fry, the opposite end of the fry literally EXPLODED OFF and splattered all over the window. Splattered. "How does a fry splatter?", you ask?

It doesn't.

It wasn't a fry. It was a grease filled something or other that reminded me of the grubs and bugs I have seen Bear Grylls take a hunk out of and squirt half way across the Amazon rain forest. OH. GROSS. And that was my dinner.

As if the exploding juiced-up fry wasn't bad enough, when I got home, I opened my hamburger bun to find a chunk taken out of the patty. A bite-shaped chunk. Really. It happened. Being the grouchy, starved, and crazed pregnant woman that I was by that time, I ripped off the piece of patty in question and choked down the rest.

Then we left for class. With a spoon and a mug full of milk and Lucky Charms.

And now that I've filled you in with the riveting tale of my latest fast food experience, I have to ask:

Is it Friday yet?

Happy Monday

Pink

Welcome to the girliest face lift this blog has ever seen.

It's gloomy today.

I needed some pink.

The Thaw

Today there was a thaw.

For a few sweet hours

I could smell

grass

dirt

wet dog

I could hear

slushy puddles

squishy mud

rain drops

I could feel

a not-so-cold breeze

dry concrete under my feet

spring around the corner

And it made me think of this:

And it was good.

And then it made me think of this:

And it was even better.

Shhh....He's hunting wabbits

Today the hubs rolled out of bed at 7:30 and took me with him.

He wanted to hunt some wabbits with his hunting buddy, which meant I had the grueling task of getting out of bed early on a Saturday and the pleasure of spending the day with L. While the menfolk were out hunting, I got to snuggle the cutest little almost one year old ever and we managed to squeeze in a trip to Taco Bellio and a kids consignment shop. I would have purchased 89,435 two dollar outfits from the store, but the cashier was so slow and the line was so long, that by the time it was my turn, I handed her four things I didn't want anymore and only bought two. That's what happens when you make a cranky pregnant lady stand in line while you chat casually about your latest in-store promotion. Sheesh. And now I'm left semi-regretting not buying that little blue onesie with the crab on it. Shoot.

I'm sure you're all wondering if there's a dead wabbit sitting in my refrigerator. The answer is YES. And I'm sure you won't be able to rest tonight until you know how I feel about it. So I'll tell you. Not good. Mostly because one time I walked up on the Hubs skinning a rabbit in the backyard, and now I can't get that picture out of my head. Another contributing factor is that I was a big Bugs fan as a kid, and I don't love the idea that he is now hanging out in some tupperware on the same shelf as my cream cheese and kiwis. Yuck.

Which begs the question the Hubs and I used to ask ourselves when we got cable...what the heck happened to all the good kids cartoons? No Smurfs? No Fraggle Rock? No David the Knome? How do you spell knome? No Gumby or Gummi Bears or Looney Toons or Tale Spin? What is the world coming to?!? We are going to order retro cartoons off of Amazon when the babes gets big enough to enjoy TV without it mushing his brain. Seriously. SpongeBob has nothing on the stinking Gummi Bears. I'm just sayin'.

And on that note, I'm going to go online shopping with the money I saved from the consignment store. Y'all have a great Saturday night!

Dear Baby and/or Chocolate Ice Cream

Dear Baby and/or Chocolate Ice Cream,

Just wanted to say thanks for the enormous amount of weight you've helped me gain since my last doctor's appointment 4 weeks ago. We hit a personal 4 week record, and I, for one, think we deserve a medal. Because HOKEY PETE I can't believe we didn't break the scale this morning at the doctor's office. Swimsuit shopping this season is sure to be a blast. Better than ever. And I have never been more grateful for elastic waistbands.

Thank goodness for that sweet nurse who said it's "just the baby getting bigger". Bless her heart. Baby, if she's right, way to go on the growth spurt! Ice cream, I didn't have the heart to tell her it was most likely the multiple over-doses I have done on you since Biggest Loser started a few weeks ago. Let's just stay in denial a little longer. Please.

Cheers!

Mama

Doctor's Note: Baby looks great, Mama looks huge, and its still OK to eat ice cream because we cleared our glucose test.

It looked like spilled half & half...

...Because it was.

One of my joys in the morning is brewing a warm cup of "I wish this wasn't decaf" coffee and pouring in an torrent of half & half and sugar.

So this morning I had my mug out on the counter and was ready to curl up on the couch to watch some Regis and Kelly when somehow the half & half jumped off the counter and proceeded to pour itself all over my dining room floor. Which is carpet.

Words like

*(&#^%!

and

enzymes!

and

E-Coli!

went flying through my brain, but since I didn't know what they meant, I just said "dangit!" and ran around the kitchen frantically throwing my arms up in the air for a few minutes before I decided a towel would be a good idea.

When I got to the scene of the crime, I realized Opie had assumed full clean-up duty STAT. He was all over that spill like stank on a monkey. I threw the towel on the floor in an effort to help. He scoffed at me as if he had been working for Merry Maids all his life and continued in his clean-up endeavors.

While he licked, I decided I should Google how to get milk out of carpeting because words like E-Coli and enzymes and bacteria scare me.

I found a website that said to use dish detergent and warm water. I figured if my Palmolive can kill the salmonella in my ground beef, then it can probably handle some E-Coli too. So we went for it. (You can just ignore the pile of dishes. I am waiting for the dish fairies to show up because I have things on my list that are just more fun to do than unload and reload the dishwasher today.)

After applying the soap to the carpet, I realized my efforts were futile because, thanks to Opie's haz-mat training, the milk was gone, and I couldn't tell where it had landed in the first place. So I resorted to my end-all be-all method of germ killing:

When in doubt, pull out the Clorox disinfectant spray and go to town. That aerosol can is the best $3.99 I've ever spent.

Turns out everything is OK because my coffee was still warm when me and my Bio-Hazard guru had finished, and I remembered the Hubs had flowers waiting for me last night when I got home. Sigh. He is such a winner.

Finding Nemo

I'm not sure there's anything more fun than feeling your son squirm around in your belly. My bestie L told me it would feel like a little fish swimming all over the place, and she was so right. I love feeling our little Nemo swish around. And he was really going to town yesterday. Which could mean two things: 1) He's a big fan of The Bachelor and 24, which I watched for an embarrassing quantity of time yesterday, or 2) He's really into the Lucky Charms/Fruity Pebble/Golden Graham combo I slammed about every 1/2 hour yesterday. Yesterday was clearly very productive. You know you've really got something done when the Hubs calls at quittin' time to ask what you have been up to and you respond "uh, a whole lotta nothin. Do you want to make dinner?"

That man is such a trooper, folks. I mean, really.

Speaking of "really," this is the pic I found when I googled "Nemo"

REALLY?!?!??? I have never seen anything more creepy under google images. OK, maybe I have. But this thing had me rolling around in the fetal position for 15 minutes before I could get up and start this post. Yikes.

I hope you'll forgive the beach posts lately. I just can't take the cold and ice and snow this year. I want to see grass and smell dirt and have somewhere to take this maniac of a dog to burn off some energy. We have been iced in for a while. When you have a basketball where your hips used to be, walking on icy sidewalks is rough. And being drug down sidewalks by a hyper active puggle is even rougher.

So I'm ready for grass. And sun. And maybe a beach, because I don't even remember what a tan looks like anymore. The pics will probably keep coming. Just to remind me that there's some beach somewhere and not all the world has been covered in a polar ice cap.

I've got a big to-do list today:

-do some stinking laundry. sigh. it's always on the list.

-go to Hobby Lobby and splurge a little on nursery-related craft materials.

-take a nap

-go to childbirth class

-come home and have nightmares about giving birth all over again.

Last week after our first childbirth class, I didn't sleep. We watched a video of a live birth, and all I could think was "You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me." I'm so excited to meet this little guy, but I would have preferred to maintain my denial of pain in giving birth a little longer. Oh, well. Our instructor promised to show us how to give good pregnancy back rubs tonight, so I'm on board again. Please no instructional videos. Please.

Well, I better get to that list. So much to do, so little time. That 30 minute round-trip to Hobby Lobby is sure to take a lot out of me.

Ahh...that's better.

Calling Local Bookies...

I'm starting a Book Club. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, and after reading the entire Twilight series and having no one to sit down with and discuss for hours over drinks and appetizers the ins and outs of being a vampire and all the reasons why Bella was an idiot for ever kissing Jacob, I decided it was time for a remedy.

So I'm starting up a Book Club, and I can't wait. It's kind of like "The Finer Things" club from The Office, only with more food and not in the break room. More food is really the important part because of the massive amount of cereal and chocolate I have consumed in the past month. Food is definitely a priority.

Outside of the food, I'm really excited about the Book Club clip art I stumbled upon while making the invites. Because, after all, it's all about the clip art.

I guess it's kind of about the books too. Which is exciting. Because if I have to read another book with only Opie as my partner in literary criticism, or if I have to go through the agonizing experience of reading Twilight for four days straight only to find that I'm the only one who cares that much about werewolves, I might go bonkers.
We're meeting once a month to eat. Oh, I mean, to eat and talk about whatever book we read for that month. And the best part is that we're having dinner each month based on the theme of the book. I'm hosting the first meeting at my house, and we're reading Beneath A Marble Sky , a book about the building of the Taj Mahal. I'm going to google "rent a tiger" and see if I can get one here for the dinner. Not to eat. Just for ambiance. You know, set the mood. It should be a good time. If you're in the area and interested in joining, get a hold of me and I'll get an invitation to you. We're looking for a group of about 8-12 ladies, and we're a little over half way there. Call me, facebook me, or email me. You do not want to miss out on my Book Club clip art. Trust me.

Cloudy with a high of 34

*Sigh*

"This is the longest day of my life"

At least Bauer understands me.

Qued up for our mission tonight at twenty one hundred hours. I've been waiting for this since I finished Season 854 and got all caught up this summer.

My Most Embarrassing Moment

The following details a series of unfortunate events that led to my most embarrassing moment ever. Well, second most embarrassing moment ever if you count the time I wet my new sleeping bag at my friend's house and the dye from said sleeping bag bled and stained their carpet, resulting in a huge teal splat in the middle of their living room floor. Anyway, back to the series of unfortunate events:

This weekend we went down to Indiana to visit some good friends of ours. Not unfortunate. We love spending time with "Shrek and Fiona" (well earned nicknames!) We had a blast seeing their new house and enjoying a ridiculously good breakfast Saturday morning. They made Belgian waffles with bacon, and we ate more than our fair share.

Unfortunate: There was bacon involved. You know that bacon smell that gets all over the house and clings to anything within a 20 mile radius- hair, clothes, suitcases, blankets, one's only two pairs of maternity jeans? Yep. That bacon smell rode with us all the way back home.

When we got up to go to church this morning, I realized that both pairs of my jeans were coated in "bacon" and there was no way I could venture out of the house smelling like a greased and fried pig. I improvised and put on a pair of less-than-comfortable corduroys and headed out the door.

Since the cords were less than comfortable, I changed into my velour suit when we got home from church.

When we left for the grocery store tonight, I opted to forgo the uncomfortable cords and stick with the velour. After all, who doesn't want to be cozy when picking out their preferred size box of Lucky Charms?

So we're at the grocery store, and I'm walking around in my velour. Unfortunate. It is important to note that the Hubs is not a fan of me venturing out to the grocery store in pajama-like lounge wear based on his argument that "Honey, you just never know who you might run into, and are you sure you want to see them in your pajamas?" I have given up trying to explain to him the different between pajamas and velour. They are simply not the same thing. But I pick my battles around here. Lucky for me, since I've gained the weight of an elephant in the past 6 months, he's backed off the "put some real clothes on" train and is just happy to see me off the couch without a bowl of ice cream in my hands.

So there we were in the middle of the refrigerated section on a surprisingly busy Sunday evening at the grocery store. There were people all over the place, but I held my head high and had no shame in my choice of attire because for crying out loud I'm pregnant and my jeans smell like stinking bacon. And, additionally, velour is not pajama apparel.

At least, I held my head high until I reached for a block of cheese and heard through the mob of people standing in the refrigerated aisle, a young voice, ringing out over all the others, clear as a bell, saying:

"Look, Momma! That lady is in her pajamas!!!"

Are. You. Serious?!? Time slowed down.....My legs got heavy....My cheeks got hot. I vaguely remember thinking "all this time, I should have just listened to the Hubs, for now I suffer the wrath and judgement of a 3 year old sitting in the child seat of a grocery cart" before looking up to see a mom standing next to her cart, dumbfounded by her son's statement, surveying me up and down trying to explain in a jumble of words that the lady was actually wearing a "jumpsuit."

I didn't want to get into a conversation about the difference between pajamas, jump suits, and velour suits. Because, frankly, there is a difference, but me and my Sharp Cheddar Cheese block were in no mood to try and explain away the issue.

Again, choosing my battles. Except this time, with a grocery shopping mom and her 3 year old son.

So I simply said, "No, no. He's right!"

And then, as if to take pleasure in my own humiliation I reason, "But it's OK for pregnant ladies to shop in their pajamas, right?!?"

Oh, have mercy.

The lady laughed, tossed around a "from the mouths of babes" line and told me that now I knew what I had to look forward to.

To which I thought, "Bo-stinkin'-logna! My son is going to know the difference between pajamas and a velour suit by the time he's three, dangit."

Mortified and frustrated that the world around me seems to misunderstand the pajama/velour issue, I rushed out of the aisle ahead of the hubby, and when we finally made it to the frozen dessert section I looked over to see him laughing his stinking head off. Because I had it coming. And because he told me so.

I told him he was enjoying himself entirely too much. And then I grabbed a huge box of popsicles and hauled my veloured self over to the register so I could get the heck out of dodge and back to the couch where I belong.

The hubby is still laughing. We'll see who's laughing when it's him that has to buy groceries from now on since I've been traumatized for life.

At least I got my Lucky Charms.

=)

I love a good Friday night and the anticipation of a fun weekend.

Adios!

Haiti

As I watched the news last night, it dawned on me that most of the pictures I posted from our cruise on Tuesday were taken in Haiti. The portion of the island we saw was gorgeous- it's overwhelming to think we were just there a few months ago. My heart is heavy for the people of Haiti this week. The Hubs and I are big fans of Compassion International, and I was excited to find that they've made donating to the relief in Haiti as easy as texting. It's a blessing to be able to do something rather than just sit back and watch the images pour in over the television screen.

(Text “disaster” to 90999 to donate $10.00 to Compassion International)

Pregnancy Update: Week 26 Edition

So I'm at a point in my pregnancy I'd like to coin "FrEaKiNg OuT Mode," and I figure it's time for a preggo update...although I'm not sure I have any recent pictures of my belly since sometimes the last thing I want to do is photograph the very thing that has caused me to cut the elastic out of all my favorite Eddie Bauer flannel pajama pants. I'm just saying. I loved those pants.

So here's the update, in the form of a numbered list detailing the stream of consciousness I've experienced lately regarding my pregnancy:

1) I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy pregnancy, and I cannot wait to meet this little guy! I think he's going to be really cute. And really cuddly. And that makes me smile.

2) Yesterday it dawned on me that I am only TWO AND A HALF months away from giving birth to this little dude. Two and a half months. That is shorter than summer. I stared at the Hubs in shock when I revealed this news, and he just looked excited. I almost wet my pants. Because I have no idea how to give birth, and all those years of watching TLC's A Baby Story in middle school are of no comfort to me now.

3) Fortunately, we start our childbirth prep classes tonight, and I'm hoping they tell me everything I need to know about what's going to happen 2 1/2 months from now. The weird part is, we have to bring our insurance card, a pillow, and a blanket. A pillow and a blanket? If they're going to make me lie down on some nasty tile floor in the middle of a hospital classroom, I'm going to have to bring some Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer too. And if you know me well, you know I'm not joking. And I'm not.

4)I keep thinking about that sweet little baby boy and what he will be like as a newborn. I'm convinced he's going to have his daddy's hair and eyes, which I'm totally ok with, seeing as how I think his daddy has the most handsome hair and eyes in the entire world.

OK, so there's not a lot of hair there, but I'm just saying. I also keep thinking about how fast newborns turn into big, sturdy babies, and how fast those babies turn into rolling crawling babies, and how fast those babies turn into walking, running babies, and how fast those babies turn into little kids who don't like to take naps and can understand what you and your husband are spelling out to one another across the kitchen table, and I am committed to relishing every minute I have with this little guy because I know he won't be little for long. Like that book called "Let me Hold you Longer"...have mercy, I cry almost every time I read that book. I'm going to soak up every minute I have with my little man, except for maybe passing a few dirty diapers on to his daddy because I woman can only handle so many dirty diapers in one day.

5) Hokey Pete, am I ever hungry. Like right now. But also all other times of the day. Last night, in an effort to really impress the hubs, I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes and green beans. The hubs went back for thirds. I had seconds, and then proceeded to bake and eat 3 brownies and a bowl full of Frosted Mini Wheats. And I was still hungry. Are you kidding me?!? This diet is NOT going to help me in the post-pregnancy summer swimsuit hunt, folks. Not at all.

6) To make matters worse, as I was sitting there downing my 6th meal of the evening in front of the TV watching American Idol with the hubs, I began scrutinizing guest judge Posh Spice's neck. Her neck. What the heck? But I was. She has a very defined neck and jaw line, that lady. I can tell this pregnancy weight gain is getting to me, because the next thing out of my mouth was "She's just so...skinny! It looks like you could just put her over your knee and snap her in half." And the worst part is, because she is just so skinny, while I sat there stuffing my face with those Mini Wheats, I kinda did want to just put her over my knee and snap her in half. Only a little bit though. Just a little. And the hubby looked at me and laughed. Really hard. And said I should blog about my feelings towards Posh on American Idol and her little neck. And I decided I would. And then the moment passed, and I went back to my cereal.

7)But I mean, seriously. Look at that neck.

8)Today I have to go up to the lab at my OB's and get a glucose test, which means I drink a lot of orange flavored sugar and then wait for an hour reading germy lobby magazines and then go back to get my blood drawn. It's actually a momentous occasion for me, because it's the first time I'm being a big girl and going to the office without moral support in the form of the Hubs or my sister or my mom. So hopefully I can handle it. We'll see.

9) Next week I venture to my OB's for my last 4 week appointment...I'll be heading in every 2 weeks after that because, folks, it's almost game time. And we could use all the help we can get.

10) Last but not least, I can't possibly do a pregnancy update without bragging on my ridiculously wonderful husband. The Hubs has been amazing since day one when I told him we were pregnant to day 16 when we crawled onto a cruise ship despite my morning sickness and sailed through the Caribbean for 7 days and nights with me complaining about smells and food and the way the sun was hitting my face, to making me pb&j's after we've already crawled into bed, to double checking to make sure I turned off the stove after we've already crawled into bed, to letting me take naps every Sunday afternoon...and Saturday afternoon...and Friday afternoon..., to now when he reassures me that everything is going to be OK two and a half months from now and I can do it. Sigh. He is my hero. And he's not too shabby lookin' either.

So that's about where I stand at week 26, going on 27 with my pregnancy. Freaking out because its getting so close, going a little nuts because how the heck will I ever fit back into any of my clothes, and thanking the Lord for this incredibly opportunity to enter into the world of parenthood.

Now I'm off to do some laundry. Believe it or not, I am almost all caught up, and will post pictures as soon as that mountain has been climbed. I know, I've said it before. But this time it's true. I think it has something to do with the fact that this baby is going to be here in two and half months whether I'm ready or not...nesting, anyone?!

That tree.

On this chilly January Tuesday, I am missing

That beach. And those sunglasses. And those tans.

That water.

Those fancy dinners. And that charming smile.

That free and unlimited soft serve ice cream. Have mercy.

Did I mention that tan? Where, oh where, did those tans go?

That pirate. Not really. Well, a little.

That gorgeous island.

That boat.

That sunscreen.

Those chairs.

That endless breakfast buffet. Sweet goodness, where are you now?

Those sunsets.

That view.

That tree.

Ok. That was just the right amount of torture and therapy that I needed this morning. Now off to let the dog out in sub zero temperatures.
