I'm not sure there's anything more fun than feeling your son squirm around in your belly. My bestie L told me it would feel like a little fish swimming all over the place, and she was so right. I love feeling our little Nemo swish around. And he was really going to town yesterday. Which could mean two things: 1) He's a big fan of The Bachelor and 24, which I watched for an embarrassing quantity of time yesterday, or 2) He's really into the Lucky Charms/Fruity Pebble/Golden Graham combo I slammed about every 1/2 hour yesterday. Yesterday was clearly very productive. You know you've really got something done when the Hubs calls at quittin' time to ask what you have been up to and you respond "uh, a whole lotta nothin. Do you want to make dinner?"
That man is such a trooper, folks. I mean, really.
Speaking of "really," this is the pic I found when I googled "Nemo"

REALLY?!?!??? I have never seen anything more creepy under google images. OK, maybe I have. But this thing had me rolling around in the fetal position for 15 minutes before I could get up and start this post. Yikes.
I hope you'll forgive the beach posts lately. I just can't take the cold and ice and snow this year. I want to see grass and smell dirt and have somewhere to take this maniac of a dog to burn off some energy. We have been iced in for a while. When you have a basketball where your hips used to be, walking on icy sidewalks is rough. And being drug down sidewalks by a hyper active puggle is even rougher.
So I'm ready for grass. And sun. And maybe a beach, because I don't even remember what a tan looks like anymore. The pics will probably keep coming. Just to remind me that there's some beach somewhere and not all the world has been covered in a polar ice cap.
I've got a big to-do list today:
-do some stinking laundry. sigh. it's always on the list.
-go to Hobby Lobby and splurge a little on nursery-related craft materials.
-take a nap
-go to childbirth class
-come home and have nightmares about giving birth all over again.
Last week after our first childbirth class, I didn't sleep. We watched a video of a live birth, and all I could think was "You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me." I'm so excited to meet this little guy, but I would have preferred to maintain my denial of pain in giving birth a little longer. Oh, well. Our instructor promised to show us how to give good pregnancy back rubs tonight, so I'm on board again. Please no instructional videos. Please.
Well, I better get to that list. So much to do, so little time. That 30 minute round-trip to Hobby Lobby is sure to take a lot out of me.

Ahh...that's better.
baby moving is the best. love it! and that crazyo picture of nemo is nuts. let's take our kids to see something like that. hah.
