Pudding

I can't say this isn't my stairwell. Because it is.

But lo, there are big plans in the works for getting this done. In a timely manner.

As in, like, before my baby is born in April.

Actually, maybe sooner seeing as how I hauled this stuff from our bedroom and tossed it down the stairs tonight. The mountain of laundry at the foot of our bed was seriously hampering my midnight bathroom runs. So I finally gave in and took step one of 80 in getting the laundry done. It's on the same level as the washing machine now. Sweet progress.

The laundry may be in peril, but we've made progress in other parts of the house. The Christmas stuff is put away, we conquered the nightmare that was our storage closet upstairs, and the hubs employed the help of the Scrubbing Bubbles and put the serious hurt on the shower tonight.

In addition to all that organizing, thanks to Santa, the nursery is well on its way. Eventually we're going to have to buy this little guy some diapers, but in the meantime, at least his pad looks good.

***Please note: The bear's name is Pudding. Don't let the hubby tell you any different. He got to name the Owl (Chuck) and the Raccoon (Squiggles? Really? Really?!?), so I am standing my ground and declaring the bear "Pudding". The hubs is not a fan. He thinks it needs something more manly. Squiggles?! But Pudding it is. Because who doesn't love Pudding?

And note to self: Don't finish the majority of your nursery decorating by the time you are 6 months pregnant. There are still 3 months to go, and you may start naming random objects.

Moving on...

I just love the chipmunky guy in the corner. So cute. So friendly. Maybe I need to name him.

We bought this puppy on sale for 50% off at the grocery store last weekend. It was an absolute beast to put together. Took all the brain power the hubs and I could muster, but boy is it a cutie.

These are my favorite curtains ever. My mom and grandmother bought them for me in a pre-Christmas Walmart shopping frenzy. I love pre-Christmas Walmart shopping frenzies.

And a nursery tour wouldn't be complete without featuring Squiggles the raccoon on his perch up in the sycamore tree. Or birch tree? Maple? Whatever. Sycamore sounds the most Hundred Acre Woods-ish. Sycamore tree.

So that's that. The laundry is in total and typical upheaval, but just about every other room in the house is a put together product of a post-Christmas nesting attack, compliments of yours truly.

Now I'm off to go grab a bowl of ice cream instead of throwing in another load of laundry. Bwahaha
