He's got this.

Let me tell you something: there is nothing like going into a intense doctor appointment knowing you have a portion of the Army of the Lord and God Himself fighting for you.

Its the night before we go into our second major ultrasound for Jubilee, and I have had so many people contact me via text or email or phone or face this evening to say they are praying for us. Its like God has sent in a special opps group just for our appointment tomorrow afternoon, and I'm so blown away by the peace I feel tonight.

The appointment?

Yes, it is scary.

Yes, we'll most likely get a lot of sobering news.

No, I don't want to see that doctor again.

No, I don't want to talk with a genetic counselor because that means my baby is not ok.

But somewhere in all of the yes's and no's and what if's and why's, there's just this earth shattering peace and sense that Somebody's got it all. under. control.

It feels like we don't have to worry. (Matthew 6:34)

It feels like God's got this.  Like He's got us.  Like He's got Jubilee.

And He's got this amazing group of people who He's called to pray for us.

He's equipping us, and the peace is staggering.

How could it be me that has to do this?  How can it be me that lost a baby this summer and is now probably facing the loss of another?  How can it be me that is asked to carry this baby knowing I may never get to bring her home?

It's me because He's called me.  He's chosen me. And He's equipped me.

It's me because He's hemmed us in behind and before and He has His hand upon us (Psalm 139).

He's called His people to pray, and they're praying. He's got this.

We are not alone.

I'm telling you, there's nothing like having people of the Army of the Lord stepping in your behalf:

Isaiah 40:3
In the wilderness prepare
   the way for the LORD;
make straight in the desert
   a highway for our God.

We're in the wilderness. No doubt about that.

The Army is making a highway in the desert for our God through prayer, and do you know what?  Thanks to that highway, We can see Him.  We can hear Him. We can feel Him.

Isaiah 40:27-31
27 Why do you complain, Jacob?
   Why do you say, Israel,
“My way is hidden from the LORD;
   my cause is disregarded by my God”?
28 Do you not know?
   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
   the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
   and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
   and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
   they will run and not grow weary,
   they will walk and not be faint.

Tomorrow afternoon we'll venture further into the desert.  We cannot thank you enough for praying for us and clearing the way for us to feel the presence of our God- to remember that the One who has it all under control does not grow tired and weary.

Our strength is being renewed, and we're ready for tomorrow.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

This peace that transcends understanding? I'm praying you have it when you need it, friends, because it is something beautiful.

"Our God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing our God cannot do."
-Newbie's latest favorite Sunday school song... I think its mine too. =)
