Twitter Pated

Its been days since my last post, and I'm sorry to keep many of you who are following us and our little one waiting and wondering how we're fairing over here in my neck of the woods.  Or maybe you don't care that its been a week.  Its cool. =)  Either way, I'm here tonight with a load of pictures to share, and another "more of the same" update in the baby bump department.  We have a big ultra sound this coming Thursday when we're hoping to get a good update on Jubilee's development, but in the meantime we're taking it one day at a time with nothing new to report. Thank you so so much for the encouragement and prayers that keep streaming in in all shapes and forms- we are forever grateful to those of you who are carrying us through.

On an unrelated note, I'm currently cannonballing a dish of Easter M&M's that was intended to make a contribution to our spring "decor" but is turning out to be a victim of my chocolate craving tonight.  "BABE, WHERE IS THE CHOCOLATE?"  Oh, the Hubs.  He really is a trooper. I figured I'd share. You know, just in case you wanted the Sunday night play by play.

Back to business.

All weekend long I've just been absolutely twitter pated. (Not ringing a bell?  Check out this Bambi clip and get yourself an education before you read on...there's a lot of twitter pated happening in this post. Don't forget to mute the music on the right sidebar before pressing play.)

Make that twitter pated all week long.  Its as if the Lord bent over in this scary, unsure, turbulent time in our lives and just whispered in my ear, I love you.  I love love love you.  Just look around;  Taste and see, Beloved, that I am good.  And oh, how He is.  He has captured my heart the past several days with His goodness in the simpliest of things, and let me tell you, when life is as complicated as it is for my little family right now, SIMPLE is a beautiful gift.

Last week I was Twitter Pated with....
Sneaky Pete: Newbie feeding Opie from the table.  A classic move, and this week done with extra smiles and fervor because he's catching on that he has to be sneaky or Momma will nip it in the bud- it makes for a fun game.
Muffled Chuckles: ...from the front seat of the car when the Hubs and I realized Newbie hadn't really been reading for the entire ride home, but rather snoozing behind his Bible. What. a. sweetheart.
My Little Handy Man: Newbie has been totally into tools since he's seen his daddy using them all over the place with the remodel.  One morning early last week he took out the tools his Grandma got for him and sported the hat she bought him while he worked hard to "SIX IT!" (Fix it)  He hammered everything in every room and sprinkled each bang of the hammer with a "Wow!  Wits a widdle wowd!" (wow! its a little loud!).  He keeps us laughing, folks.
Daddy's Shoes on Little Feet: Newbie is a big fan of big people shoes.  When he finds them by the door, he slides them on and stomps through the house with them.  I can't ever find my slippers because Little Mister is always wearing them and then ditching them in the corner of a random room.
The Wiggle: Newbie can be a super snuggle bug, but if you don't catch him at the right time and you happen to go in for a big hug, he wiggles in your arms like a fish out of water.  He belly laughs and squeals as he tries to get out of your reach.  There is nothing like Newbie's belly laugh.  It is water to the soul, baby.
A Bump in the Road: Last week we were playing cars in our pj's waiting for Daddy to get home and Newbie ran a car right up onto my belly. He laughed and laughed watching the racers roll right off "boo-ba-lee in Mommy's bel-yee" (Jubilee in Mommy's belly) and onto the floor.
(Jubilee, this week you got to play cars with Big Brother and Mommy.  Big Brother laughed and laughed, and I laughed too because I liked that you were getting in on some of the fun!  We love you to pieces, and you were every bit a part of what we did this week....but this is the only picture Momma took!  All week long we did lots of every day things, and sometimes every day things are the best things!  We drank chocolate milk, went to play at a friend's house, and went shopping with Grandma. We went to the gym and watched Big Brother at his tumble class with daddy, and we enjoyed some of the warmest weather we've had in a long time.  I loved that you got to enjoy a taste of spring with us last week!)
Spring: We done turned this house upside down with bits of spring this week.  When the weather warmed up on Tuesday, we flung open the curtains and hit the Easter decorations like nobody's business.
(Little One, looks like I did snap a quick shot of us sprucing up the house for spring last week.  I told you all about the birds and the flowers and the sun.  We talked about Easter and how exciting it is for us to celebrate the day our Jesus rose from the dead because that special day meant that God had opened the door for us to come live with Him for ever and ever if we give Him our hearts.  We hid Easter eggs on the shelves and tucked birds' nests in every corner.  Mommy loves spring because it means the chilly snow won't be coming back for a while and we'll get to enjoy the warm sunshine.  We love the sunshine, Jubilee, and we love you!)

Last week was good, but this weekend was better.  It was like God opened up the floodgates of sun and showered us with spring.  The weather was gorgeous, and Friday morning the Hubs took Newbie and I to the gardens.  Going to the gardens is one of my favorite things, and I was positively enchanted once again.  That is not an exaggeration: the gardens are enchanting.  I love walking around with my boys and watching Newbie take it all in while we're surrounded with some of the prettiest accents of God's creation. It was our first time going in a while, and I drank in every last bit of the goodness.
I was twitter pated again with His love while we trompsed through the scent of spring flowers and watched the dancing butterflies- it was delightful to taste and see that He is good!

I can hear Him...
I love you.
I love love love you.
Just look around-
Taste and see, Beloved, that I am good.

Can you hear Him?

(Jubilee, you came to the gardens with us this weekend!  Oh, it is such a special place- Mommy and Daddy celebrated our wedding there with lots of family and friends, and it is one of our favorite places to visit.  We spent the morning watching the butterflies and plants God made sing His praise with their bright colors and soft scents, and we stood in the sun and felt His warmth through the windows.  The butterflies told us secrets, Jubilee- did you hear them?! Always, always remember, Sweet One, that every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, and you and your big brother and sister are some of those good and perfect gifts!  Daddy and I are so, so grateful God has given you to us!  We got to spend time together enjoying some of the other gifts at the gardens, and we had such fun bringing you with us.  We love love love you, sweet Jubilee!)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

I wish I could tell you how I heard Him on Saturday, but that's a post for another day because I have to swipe some pictures from my sweet friend, Miss A. It was an especially fabulous day though, one where God courted me with some of the best He has to offer disguised as the love and company of good girlfriends and great food. =)

Twitter pated. Again.

And then there was today, where the weather was so gorgeous that we spent every minute we could outside after church.  We took Newbie to the park, then played out in the yard, then went for an after dinner walk with Newbie in the wagon and Opie on the leash.  I'm not sure there's been a Sunday better spent.

I'm off to snuggle with the Hubs before we start another Monday tomorrow.  I'm praying that you hear Him this week, friends.  That you can hear Him say He loves you and that you take the time to taste and see that He is good.  And be on the lookout: sometimes His goodness tastes the best and looks the most beautiful in the simplest of every day things.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalm 34:7-9
God is good, and spring is here. Go get twitter pated, baby.
