A Widdle Cowld

Wishing you all a refreshing Sunday afternoon...

"Momma, its a widdle cowld."
(Newbie tried to share that popsicle with Jubilee next, smooshing it up against my belly where he knows she's hanging out.  I explained that whatever Mommy eats, Jubilee eats too, and won myself the rest of the melty pop.)

This little guy?  He's one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday.
We've had a low-key weekend.  Newbie's fighting a cold, so we've been taking it easy.  Lots of naps and movies, lots of tissues and gratitude for the blue "booger sucker" we got at the hospital when Newbie was born. TMI?  Sorry.  Its our reality, folks.  Newbie's kept us entertained by asking for "da dooger su-kerrrr" all weekend. We had a popsicle party around the table this afternoon, and we're branching out with a little cookout with our small group from church tonight.

We've been home with the exception of yesterday when the Hubs took me out on a date.  Newbie stayed home and made brownies and watched Lightening McQueen with GiGi and Grandad.
(I don't think he had any fun while we were gone...do you?)

(Jubilee, Daddy took us out to dinner and a movie Saturday night.  You were rockin' the spring yellow and we had a fun date with Daddy.  We saw a movie and I showed you how to pick the best spot- right in front of the railing so you can prop up your feet.  And we slammed a few handfuls of Chewy Sprees, because that's what you do at the movies.  After the movie, we went out to dinner where you got to listen to some live music and munch on some chicken alfredo.  The music reminded Mommy of dancing with your daddy at our wedding.  Did you know that Daddy doesn't like to dance, but that he did just for me on our wedding day?  Do you know that your daddy is my favorite?  And that he loves us, so so much?  He does!  The way Daddy loves us tells us so much about how God loves us- high and long and wide and deep.  Daddy helps us know Jesus more because he loves us the way Jesus does, and that, my girl, is a treasure.)

Date night always, always makes me wish we made more "just for us" time.  We're good at family time...dating time is something we need to carve out more time for. Its in the works. =)

Happy Sabbath!
