A dry diaper? What's that?

God is so good...

In the last 6 days since our son was delivered, He has literally answered every single one of our prayers. We feel so humbled by His love and so encouraged by His faithfulness and provision. Today we had our first pediatric appointment since being discharged from the hospital. I was one nervous mama waiting to go see the doctor...we went through so many tests and shots and uncertainties last week at the hospital, that my heart was a mess hoping everything had remained consistent and that our sweet boy was still healthy.

After a few tears and a high order to strip him down to a "dry diaper"...dry diaper? Really? On a little boy with a constantly loaded gun?!? Much easier said than done! But we eventually got there, and after the doctor check him from head to toe, we were told that everything looks good! Praise the Lord! Our little man is on the right track! After everything we saw him go through last week, we could not be more thankful for a good report today! We are still under orders to limit his contact with visitors and to avoid any sickness, but we are so very, very happy to have walked away breathing a big sigh of relief at a healthy check-up. Back in two weeks to see how much he's grown. =)

I am breaking my own rules tonight and watching 24 instead of sleeping while our little guy snoozes. I'm sure I'll regret it some time between the hours of 1 and 5 in the morning, but sometimes a girl just needs to watch some Jack Bauer power and unwind.
