I can't believe it's been two months already!
A Letter to Newbie:
Newbie, we love you so much! I can't believe you are already two months old. You've changed so much in the past four weeks; I feel like each morning you're doing something new and you've grown ten inches! Your daddy and I have had so much fun getting to know you- you have such a fun personality, and you are SUCH a good baby!
*You are sleeping through the night now! You eat around 10 or 11 and you sleep until 6 or 7...Daddy and I looove getting a full night's sleep, and we are so proud of you for sleeping so well!
*You are eating 4.5+ ounces at each meal now...and counting! You started around 2 ounces, so you've more than doubled your intake!
*Last week you weighed 12.5 pounds...we'll have to weigh you tomorrow and see how much you've grown. You're getting bigger and bigger every day!
*You are in 3 month clothes, but you're getting too long for a lot of your outfits! I think you will graduate to your 6 month outfits soon...I'll be so sad to pack away your bitsy onesies.
*You have SO many new tricks! You can almost roll over onto your side. You either have your top all the way over or your bottom, but you haven't quite got them both going at the same time yet...I think it will be any day now!
*You can hold your head up! But you're tricky because you'll hold your head up for a while, and then you'll let it flop like jello. So we still have to be really careful when we hold you. =)
*Your legs are getting stronger...especially when you're mad! You flex them and straighten them out- you are so tall when you do this! You can't support yourself with them yet, but they are getting stronger and stronger.
*You are smiling at us now! We LOVE it!!! We talk to you and you smile right back at us. You even stick out your tongue when you're really happy. You are just the cutest thing!
*You're also talking a lot now! You coo and coo after you eat. And you like to tell Daddy all about what Opie did when he gets home from work. =) You also sing and talk to yourself in your sleep! We used to wake up thinking you were awake because you were just chatting away, but you were completely zonked out! Daddy and I laugh when we hear you singing to yourself at night...you are just adorable!
*You're sucking on your fingers a lot now...and you're blowing bubbles a lot too! Sometimes I will look over at you and you'll just be munching away on your hands...I think you'll find your thumb soon and we may not need your binky as much!
*You were dedicated at church yesterday, and that was the most special day for us since you were born! We love you so much and it was exciting to celebrate the beginning of your walk with God. More on that in another post though...after we get the pictures from your uncle! =)
We love you so SO much, sweet boy! You are such a blessing to our family and we can't get enough of you! We pray for you every day, and we are so grateful God blessed us with you...you are such a wonderful gift! Happy Two Month Birthday, Newbie!
